Fehhaar (squirrel-hair) is the name of the fur from the squirrel. „Fehhaar“ is the finest and thinnest type of hair among natural hair at all. The hair used for making brushes comes from the tail of the squirrel.
Rindshaar (ox-hair) is taken from the ears of the oxen, wherefore it is also called „ox-ear-hair“. Depending on the colour the quality of this hair is different.
Ziegenhaar (goat-hair) is from the fur of the Asian goat.
Naturborsten (natural bristle) are from pigs.
